New Delhi: David Beckham, who announced his
retirement last month, is expected to make a comeback in the newly
formed IPL-style Indian football league.
According to UK based metro.co.uk, Goldenballs is expected to end
his retirement when the two-month Indian season begins in January.
The report stated that the Sports Management group IMG is helping
recruit recently retired stars like Beckham and old England pal Michael
Owen to help boost publicity for the venture.
The report added that the talks are in its final stages and they may even pursue former Spanish captain Raul Gonzalez.
The AIFF will license eight clubs with a squad of 25 players apiece
to play a series of matches between January 14 to March 13 next year.
