New Delhi: Indian
skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni may be in the news right for all the wrong
reasons but he has a lot to smile about. The IPL 6 spot-fixing scandal
may have dented his image but certainly not his wealth. Dhoni is now one
of the top earners from the sporting fraternity in the world. He is 16
on the top 100 list of Forbes magazine. Dhoni has raced ahead of Sachin
Tendulkar who is 51.
Dhoni earns around Rs 180 crores per annum. Not only he has
defeated Tendulkar in this rat race but he has also managed to defeat F1
superstar Fernando Alonso, tennis maverick Novak Djokovic and
super-athlete Usain Bolt.
In its annual edition, Forbes has come out with the list of the
world’s richest sportsmen. While Tiger Woods has stumped everyone by
claiming the number 1 title yet again, ace tennis star Roger Federer is
number 2. Interestingly, Dhoni and Tendulkar are the only two Indians
who are on this coveted list.
