Live Updates, Celkon Mobile Cup: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 1st ODI

Live Updates: Gayle hits hundred as West Indies close in on win

Sri Lanka and West Indies get the Celkon Mobile Cup tri-series underway when they clash in the tournament opener at Sabina Park.
In the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy, West Indies failed to qualify to the last four while Sri Lanka lost to India in the semi-final. Now both the teams have a chance to put the failure behind and prove a point in this triangular tournament.

Chris Gayle's hundred came off 89 balls as West Indies were well on their way chasing Sri Lanka's 208.
This is the first non-bilateral series played in the region by ICC full-member nations since Pakistan and Zimbabwe toured together in 2000.
Teams:
West Indies: Chris Gayle, Johnson Charles, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo(c), Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin(w), Darren Sammy, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach
Sri Lanka: Upul Tharanga, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara(w), Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews(c), Lahiru Thirimanne, Jeevan Mendis, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Ajantha Mendis, Lasith Malinga
