Italy criticise scheduling, format of Confederations Cup

Italy criticise scheduling, format of Confederations Cup

Brazil: After their draining penalty shootout loss to Spain in the semi-finals, Italy are questioning the scheduling of the Confederations Cup.
Italy have just two full days to recover before facing Uruguay in the third-place match Sunday in Salvador.
Coach Cesare Prandelli says, "The whole format of the tournament should be reviewed to give teams a bit more time to recover, especially when you play under this heat. It might be risky to play with short recovery time."

Italy have just two full days to recover before facing Uruguay in the third-place match Sunday in Salvador.
What's more is that the third-place match will start at 1 p.m. local time, the only match of the tournament played in the middle of the day.
Defender Giorgio Chiellini says, "It's crazy to play at 1, with this heat, for third place. They need to pay more attention when they make the schedule."
