Sports Desk: There have been many international sports stars that are more famous for their personal lives than their sporting achievements.
 
One such name is of bad boy of Australian Cricket Andrew Symonds.
 
Symonds was famous for his quick hitting abilities and also being useful as a bowler but his off-field controversies made him more famous.

Andrew Symonds and Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh always remained at loggerheads. 
The ‘Monkeygate’ scandal made things worse, to the extent that Harbhajan was banned for three tests and India threatened to quit the Australian tour in the middle.

In 2008, while playing a ODI match against India, a naked man ran onto the field and approached Andrew Symonds. Symonds elbowed that man to the ground. Symonds was let off for this incident by the match referee without any fine.

Symonds was suspended for two matches to be played against Bangladesh because he turned up inebriated due to a late night of drinking session.

Symonds was set to play for Australia in the August 2008 series against Bangladesh in Darwin, but was sent home to Queensland after missing the team meeting on the Friday while out fishing. Stand-in captain Michael Clarke told the media that Symonds would have to re-evaluate his desire to represent Australia

Symonds was not selected in the 2009 Ashes squad, however, Shane Watson, Andrew McDonald and Marcus North getting the nod instead. In early June 2009, Symonds was sent home from the ICC World Twenty20 tournament in England following a late-night drinking episode after a team dinner.
 
Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland called a press conference to announce Symonds' dismissal, which is likely to mark the end of his international cricket career. His Cricket Australia contract was also reviewed and later 
cancelled.

Buzz was also that Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba could have something special going on with Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds.
