Pirelli blames teams for lack of support, announces unchanged tyre line-up

Britain: Formula 1's official tyre supplier Pirelli has announced an unchanged tyre line up for this year's British Grand Prix as they blamed the teams for lack of support. Pirelli had earlier announced that they would be modifying the tyres due to degradation issues that had caused teams to take up 4 stop strategy in this year's Spanish Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton also suffered due to delamination of tyres as it broke the rear suspension of his car in Bahrain practice.
Red Bull and Mercedes have been in support of changing the tyres for the future races but Lotus, Ferrari and Force India have declined the offer put forward by Pirelli as the current set of tyres do not hamper the safety of the drivers. PIrelli were supposed to introduce new hard tyres for this year's British Grand Prix but have stepped back as they were not able to test these tyres in Canada's practice session.
"This decision is due to the fact that the new tyres, which were brought to the Friday free practice sessions in Canada, could not be tested sufficiently due to rain - and that the teams failed to agree unanimously about introducing the changes.
"Instead a change in the tyre production process should now ensure that the delamination issue has been addressed," said a Pirelli spokesperson
