Schurrle is Mourinho's 'Special One', Chelsea sign German striker for £18 million

London: The 'Special One' is back at Chelsea and has made his first signing of his second stint in the form of Andre Schurrle. As expected, the Geman international was picked by Mourinho as his first signing for a reported fee of £18 million.
Schurrle who was the reason behind Bayern Munich's first loss in the Bundesliga in the last season is expected to join Chelsea soon as he clears the medical test.
Schurrle started his club career with FSV Mainz in 2009 scored his first Bundesliga goal against Bayer Leverkusen as  Mainz were held to a 2-2 draw against Leverkusen.
Schurrle joined Leverkusen 2011 season onwards on a five year contract which would have ended in 2016 had Chelsea not signed him. He was bought by Leverkusen for a reported fee of $6.5 million and scored 15 goals in 34 matches he played for them. This was also a club record which was previously held by Mohamed Zidan who had scored 14 goals.
With Schurrle as his first signing, Mourinho is focused on winning the Champions League title that eluded him during his previous 3 year stint with the club. Mourinho was signed on a 4 year deal by the club after they won Europa league last year under the charge of their interim manager Rafael Benítez
