Madrid: Cristiano Ronaldo, who was believed to
have signed an extension deal with Real Madrid has broken his silence
and stated that no such deal has been signed by him.
Ronaldo took to social media platforms Twitter and Facebook and
posted, "All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false."
Ronaldo, who moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United four years
ago for a reported fee of $80 million, still has two more years left on
his contract but with Real Madrid failing to capture the title under
Mourinho this year, Ronaldo was speculated to be unsettled at the club.
Mourinho, who has joined Chelsea after leaving Real Madrid, has
confirmed his first Chelsea signing in the form of Andre Schurrle for a
reported fee of $18 million. Mourinho who failed to win Champions League
during his first stint with the club has his eyes set on the trophy
this time around and is willing to go all out to claim the trophy.
Ronaldo's post has started a new round of speculation as the top
clubs would now be eyeing to sign him to propel themselves forward next
season and have a better chance of winning their respective leagues as
well as the other big leagues.
