Ian Botham foresees 10-0 demolition of Aussies

Botham foresees 10-0 demolition of Aussies

Despite the appointment of Darren Lehmann as Australia coach, former England allrounder Ian Botham feels that England will thrash their traditional rivals 10-0 in back-to-back Ashes encounters.
"I haven't seen anything to remotely make me feel as though I need to change my initial prediction of a double 5-0," Botham wrote in his column for Daily Mirror. "There is simply no department in which I think Australia have got an edge over England."
Botham, who helped England win the Ashes on four occasions, said Australia although have done the best thing by replacing Mickey Arthur with Lehmann as the former Aussie batsman knows the inside out of Australian cricket, even he doesn't have a magic wand to turn this Australian team into world beaters.

The former England allrounder feels that England will thrash their traditional rivals 10-0 in back-to-back Ashes encounters.
"Darren Lehmann is the best thing to have happened to Australian cricket recently," said the former England Test skipper. "They have gone for a coach who understands the game deeply, but perhaps more importantly understands the cogs of Australian cricket inside out and the players will respond to him. But he cannot wave a magic wand and turn this Australian team into world beaters."
England are aiming for another Ashes win - their third victory in the past four series - after winning the last encounter 3-1 Down Under. After five upcoming Tests, England will travel to Australia in October for the another five-Test series.
