Ronaldo, Maradona: Meet the worst fathers from the world of sports

New Delhi: For those of you who plan to reward Dad for a lifetime of slaving and sacrificing to make a decent life for you by getting him a tie or a wallet on Father’s Day, I’d like to remind you that fatherhood is no walk in the park. 

And not everyone is cut out to be a dad. The world of sports is chock full of lousy fathers.

Insane, abusive, megalomaniacal jerkoffs, exploitative hangers on and neglectful, deadbeat baby daddies who breed like rats. 

Presenting the worst fathers from the world sports 

Christiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo has previously dated English models Alice Goodwin and Gemma Atkinson, and since the start of 2010, he has been dating Russian model Irina Shayk. He is a practicing Roman Catholic. 

Ronaldo announced that he had become a father on 3 July 2010. His official 

Facebook and Twitter pages reference the birth of his son and request privacy. The child, named Cristiano is in full custody of Ronaldo.

  

Diego Maradona

Maradona admitted he was the father of Diego Sinagra (born in Naples on 20 September 1986). The Italian courts had already so ruled in 1993, after Maradona refused to undergo DNA tests for proving or disproving his paternity.

Diego Jr. met Maradona for the first time in May 2003 after tricking his way onto a golf course in Italy where Maradona was playing.[75] Diego Sinagra is now a footballer playing in Italy.

  

Boris Becker

In February 2001, Becker acknowledged paternity of a daughter, Anna (born 22 March 2000), with Russian model Angela Ermakova.

  

Vivian Richards 

Richards had a brief relationship with Indian actress Neena Gupta, with whom he has a daughter, Masaba, born in 1989.

Imran Khan

Imran Khan has been the Pakistan’s most colorful cricketer. He has had many affairs, but his most controversial affair was with Sita White. 

Imran’s 'one night of passion' with Sita resulted in the birth of a daughter who was named Tyrian.  Imran initially denied the paternity to Tyrian but later adopted her after Sita’s death.

  

Dan Marino

 In January 2013, Dan Marino, American footballer and broadcaster admitted to fathering a child with Donna Savattere in 2005, a fact that he had previously only shared with his wife.

 Marino had paid Savattere millions of dollars to keep the news of their daughter, Chloe, away from the public.

  

Dean Jones

In July 2010, Jones was stripped of his 2007 Father of the Year title after he 

admitted that he had a nine-year affair with a flight attendant, and fathered a son whom he had never seen.
