When McLaren Lewis Hamilton left McLaren ahead of the 2013 season, there were strong rumours of a falling out between Hamilton and then team 'supremo' Ron Dennis. Six months later, The Brit, now with Mercedes admits that he felt that he was 'wasting away' his titles chances.
Hamiton's admission coming closely after Dennis' comment that a driver who loses focus, loses the sight of what it takes to be a world champion. With the fall out of rumours between the two doing the rounds it can be speculated that Dennis could very well be hitting out at the 28-year-old driver.
"Some people lost sight of what the objective is," Dennis had said. "When you lost sight of what you are doing, then you lost sight of what it takes to be a world champion".

"I got to F1 and nearly won in my first year, then I won in my second year but I've never had a car to really compete since then. The car makes such a big difference so you're just wasting away your best years," added Hamilton.
