Birmingham: India has entered the semi final of this edition
of Champions Trophy and is looking all set to reach the finals of the
last edition of Champions Trophy.
India faced Pakistan on Saturday in a tournament in which they had
never been able to defeat them. But Dhoni's brigade is used to achieving
the impossible. They won the World Cup after 28 years, they reached
number 1 in Test ranking in Tests as well as ODIs and won the inaugural
T20 World Cup.
They achieved the unachievable on Saturday too when they defeated the out of sorts Pakistan team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Put into bat by Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Pakistan's batsman had no
answer to Bhuvneshwar Kumar's swinging deliveries. In the third over of
the innings, Kumar sent Jamshed back to the pavilion and then when
Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez were trying to steady the innings,
Kumar struck again taking the wicket of Mohammad Hafeez.
Ravindra Jadeja
India's dark horse, Ravindra Jadeja spun his web around the
Pakistani batsmen just as he did against South Africa and West Indies.
Jadeja claimed two important wickets. He bowled Pakistan captain
Misbah-ul-Haq and then dismissed the ever consistent Shoaib Malik. He
along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin made sure that
Pakistan did not put up a huge score on board.
Ravichandran Ashwin
Ashwin, who looked out of sorts throughout the tournament, came
into his own in this match. He claimed the all important wicket of
Pakistani wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal. Akmal's wicket started the
collapse for Pakistan.
Ashwin also claimed the wicket of Wahab Riyaz who could not even score a run.
Shikhar Dhawan
After decimating South Africa and West Indies, India's 'gabbar' set
his sights on Pakistan and started clobbering the bowlers all around
the park. Dhwan shared another successful opening partnership with Rohit
Sharma of 58 runs.
Dhawan scored a stroke-filled 48 runs off 41 balls with 5 fours.
Dhawan started cautiously but after seeing off the new ball he launched
and all out attack on the Pakistan bowlers.
